Ad Design for Printed and Digital Marketing
At my very first agency design job, I was tasked with handling ad designs to be printed in “Media Guides” that were distributed at high school sports games. They were full of marketing information for restaurants, insurance agents, realtors, roofers, painters, and so much more. Every book we produced had anywhere from 30 to over 100 unique sponsors, which meant making ads for dozens of unique businesses. Multiply that by the ~250 schools we sent books out to, each with their own unique advertisers, and every sports season myself and the team I worked with was managing the production of hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of advertising, all within tight timeframes and brand requirements.
Now, while I do still handle a lot of advertising from the ground up, I’ve branched out to posters, social media ads, direct-mail postcards, stickers, signs, business cards, and more. Each piece of artwork is a puzzle, with the goal of making sure that no matter who or what the business is advertising, it is eye catching and draws potential viewers into action.
